As an environmental research assistant, you’ll provide support in a variety of field studies: mapping and terrain analysis, environmental quality, coastal and hydraulics engineering, and pollution. You’ll collect water, air, or soil samples, help conduct experiments,analyze data, and document findings.
You’ll work with environmental scientists and engineers in field and lab settings to set up and implement experiments and research related to the environment.
Tasks may include:
- Collecting samples
- Preparing instruments and equipment
- Analyzing field data
- Writing summary reports
Degree Requirements:
Minimum two-year degree in environmental technology or related field
Skills Required:
- Solid understanding of biology and chemistry
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong writing skills
- Knowledge of environmental contaminants and regulations
